There are plans to make the train sevices worse and this is bad news for Milton Keynes.

The Government has said it wants MK to grow with many tens of thousands of new houses being built over the new few years but if transport links are going to be made worse then surely this is a recipe for disaster?

What do we want?

All we want is a reasonable train service between MK and London.  We are not asking for extra trains just enough trains to meet demand at peak times. 

The plans being put forward and likely new timetable will turn our current trains into cattle trucks with too few seats and train journeys will take up to 30% longer than they currently do, with some journey's now taking nearly an hour. 

Please come to the Public Meeting - 2nd September at the Hockey Stadium - its not too late to change the timetable.

With fewer trains that means more people driving to work and if you think driving to work is bad enough now just wait until there are hundreds more cars clogging up the roads around MK

2. Why does this issue with the trains affect everyone in Milton Keynes?

With a bad rail service businesses won't want to be based in the area so it could mean that many hundreds of jobs are being put at risk.

The transport problems may also affect house prices and the overall economic prosperity of the area will be put at risk.
